The Asian-American Association Of CSA Hosts Its Inaugural Meeting
On February 28, the Asian-American Association held its inaugural meeting at CSA Headquarters and introduced its officers and members of the Executive Board: Edward Tom (President), Winnie Bracco (President Elect) Lois Lee (VP) David Liu (Treasurer), Liza Caraballo-Suarez (Secretary), Dyanand Sugrim, Moses Ojeda, Mary Cheng, Seung Mi Oh. They took their pledge of service and shared their personal stories with those in attendance.
The mission of the Asian-American Association is to “unite, strengthen, and empower Asian-American leaders and administrators through a strategic professional support network as we as provide profession learning opportunities to promote positive pathways to success for current and future Asian-American leaders in education.”
A3 were privileged to have legislators from City, State and federal levels attend, including Councilmembers Margaret Chin and Peter Koo, Congresswoman Grace Meng, and the keynote speaker, New York State Senator John Liu, the Chair of the Committee of Education in New York City.
