CSA Attends Rally for Salary Parity
On Wednesday April 11, CSA stood with The Campaign for Children and members of District Council 1707 to urge the de Blasio administration to create salary parity among early child education teachers and directors.
On the steps of City Hall, Rosemarie Sinclair, CSA First Vice President, spoke alongside other notable union leaders and city officials about the importance of early childhood education and lauded the valuable contributions of ECE directors and assistant directors to the success of young children across New York City.
CSA President Mark Cannizzaro released the following statement: “Quality early childhood education provides our youngest children with a better chance at success throughout the rest of their lives. While we have made recent strides, CSA continues in its advocacy to have pay parity for our early childhood supervisors. Pay disparity is not only unfair, but disruptive to the educational mission.”
