CSA Wishes Our Members A Very Happy Labor Day!
Labor Day symbolizes the end of summer and the start of school for most Americans, and we sincerely hope the holiday allows you a fun-filled, relaxing afternoon with family and friends before students return next Wednesday.
We also hope it allows you the chance to briefly reflect on the contributions and achievements of the labor movement throughout our nation’s history. This annual celebration began at a time when America’s workers struggled with criminally low wages, unsafe working conditions, and impossible hours, and the holiday was intended to bring workers’ rights into the public’s view. Since the first Labor Day in 1882, unions have fought relentlessly for the rights and protections of working families and have been essential for the growth of the middle class.
The labor movement remains under attack across the country, and this year’s holiday and parade provide the perfect opportunity to celebrate unionism and show solidarity. Please join us as we march in the 2018 Labor Day Parade on Saturday, September 8th. For more information and to register, click here.
