WATCH: CSA President Ernest Logan Announces Retirement

Ernest A. Logan announced on June 6, 2017 that he will retire as CSA President on August 31, 2017.

CSA Executive Vice President Mark Cannizzaro will become President, and First Vice President Henry Rubio will become Executive Vice President.

"Serving as CSA President was the greatest job a labor leader can ask for," Logan said. "It was an honor and a privilege."

Mr. Logan was elected CSA's 13th President in 2006, and re-elected in 2009, 2012, and 2016.

Mr. Logan has enjoyed a more than four-decade long career in the New York City public schools.

Prior to assuming the CSA Presidency, he was appointed CSA District 23 Chairperson in 1993, CSA Director of Community School Districts in 1997, and CSA First Vice President in March, 2000.
