Our Mission
The Executive Leadership Institute is a not-for-profit organization designed to deliver practical, relevant and essential professional development for school leaders. The intent of the various programs is to provide standards–based, high quality, results–driven leadership opportunities.

Each school in New York City has its own unique culture and community of people and relationships.

School leaders are the people who tie these worlds together. An effective leader makes for a harmonious, high-performing school.

The Executive Leadership Institute (ELI) offers intensive professional development for current school leaders to strengthen their ability to fulfill their responsibilities as instructional leaders. We offer practical, research-based training that can be utilized immediately.

In just a few short years, we have trained thousands of school leaders in efficient and effective ways to manage the day-to-day activities in their schools, as well as in the overarching theories and practices that govern education. Dozens of our participants have moved up the leadership ladder and hundreds more are well on their way.

Also offered are comprehensive single topic workshops on leadership such as Professional Development, Galaxy Standards, Skills and Strategies, Special Education, Access, Excel, Grant writing, Partnership and Collaboration, and Meeting the Challenges of Institutional Leadership.
