2010 Blackboard Awards

Fordham University Law School's Lincoln Center campus

 

Manhattan Media’s annual Blackboard Awards were held last night (Nov. 1) at Fordham University Law School’s Lincoln Center campus. Kevin Sheekey, a Bloomberg LP executive and former deputy mayor, and WNYC talk show host Brian Lehrer, hosted the event. CSA , NYU and The New School were among the sponsors of the event. 

Two Principals and one Assistant Principal were presented with Principal of the Year awards. They are: 

• Genevieve Stanislaus, Principal of Life Science Secondary School; 

• Lily Woo, Principal of PS 130; and 

• Randi Damesek, Assistant Principal of Stuyvesant High School.

 

Blackboard Awards in a number of categories were also presented to schools. The awards ranged from outstanding elementary school to new and noteworthy schools. The public schools that received awards are:

PS 40, the Augustus Saint-Gaudens Elementary School; 

MS 368, Hamilton Heights; 

MS 243, The Center School;

New Voices School of Academic and Creative Arts;

Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts;

The Urban Assembly New York Harbor School;

PS 276, Battery Park City School;

PS 151, Yorkville Community School;

PS 267;

PS 452,

Brooklyn School of Inquiry;

NY French American Charter School;

Frank McCourt High School;

PS 75, Emily Dickinson School;

M376, NYC iSchool; and

The High School for Math, Science and Engineering at City College.
