School-Based Intermediate Supervisors Institute
The School Based Intermediate Supervisors Institute (SBISI) is designed as a two-year leadership seminar series (Series I and II) to build, expand and enhance fundamental school leadership skills and knowledge through a wide variety of “nuts and bolts” strategies, engagement in critical thinking scenarios, and exploration of educational leadership-related literature.
There are 7 workshops in the School Based Intermediate Supervisors Institute series in the 2011-2012 school year. During the summer (July 9-12, 2012 at Fordham University Lincoln Center Campus) participants will complete 4 workshops and 3 additional workshops during the school year. (Participants who enter the series in the fall are expected to attend 7 workshops.)

• Using Data as a Leadership Tool to Promote Student Achievement
• The Observation Process
• Letter Writing: A pathway to Improving Teaching Practices
• Supporting the Low Performing Teacher
• Differentiated Instruction
• Yearly School Closing and Opening
