CSA TO HONOR MILITARY VETERANS AT NOVEMBER 4th CONFERENCE:
CSA members both in active service and Retiree Chapter members will be honored guests at the 50th CSA Conference on Saturday, November 4 at the NY Hilton Midtown. Veterans should check the "Military Veteran" box on the appropriate Ticket Reservation Form and submit your registration by October 13. The usual conference registration fee is waived for our veterans!
Wes Moore, a best-selling author, Chief Executive Officer of the Robin Hood Foundation, Rhodes Scholar and social entrepreneur, will keynote the 50th CSA Leadership Conference on Saturday, November 4.
An Army combat veteran, Wes served on Robin Hood's Veterans Advisory Board, which brought together leaders from the military, non-profit organizations and local, state and federal government to connect veterans and their families living in poverty to housing, job training, education, counseling and health services.
Wes spent much of his childhood in the Bronx, and graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Valley Forge Military College in 1998 and Phi Beta Kappa from Johns Hopkins University in 2001. He completed an MLitt in International Relations from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar in 2004. Upon graduation, Wes served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and Captain in the United States Army, participating in a combat tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Wes has made numerous television appearances including the PBS New Hour. CSA members are guaranteed an inspiring, thought-provoking session.
Also, at this year's conference, we will honor five school safety officers who represent the partnership between our members and the Office of School Safety.
