CSA President Participates in Homeless, Housing and Education Panel

The New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators held a "Homeless, Housing and Education" panel discussion at the Empire State Plaza in Albany on Feb. 13. Hosted by Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner, the panel also included CSA President Ernest Logan, Liza Pappas from the Independent Budget Ofiice (IBO) and PS 156 (Brooklyn) Principal Beverly Logan and others.

The discussion centered around issues affecting students living in homeless shelters or doubled up in another household from the perspective of principals from districts with the highest percentage of homelessness in the city, Community Based Organizations (CBO's) and the Independent Budget Office of New York City, who conducted extensive research on the issue.
