CSA's ECE Directors hand-delivered more than a thousand postcards to Deputy Mayor Richard Buery on the steps of City Hall. The bright yellow bundles were written by directors, parents and teachers urging the mayor to keep ECE centers funded and to provide our members with a contract and a raise!
"It's been 10 years without a raise. Costs have gone up everywhere. We work hard and deserve to be fairly compensated for our work and our educational credentials," said Mary Sikarevich, director of the Chung Pak DCC.
Deputy Mayor Buery said he would meet with ECE members to discuss their concerns and issues. He thanked the group for visiting City Hall.
