Early Childhood Education Members Meeting

Exasperated Early Childhood Education members held a passionate meeting today with CSA President Ernest Logan and other CSA officials on May 8. The members expressed a deep anger at the de Blasio administration, which has so far turned a deaf ear to their pleas for better pay and job security.
ECE members haven't had a raise in ten years, unlike any other city workers, despite the tremendous responsibilities they shoulder while taking care of the city's children. They feel that the lack of attention is all the more enraging given the mayor's avowed concern for early learners as they prepare to enter elementary school.
Aside from their frustration with the mayor, members heard from CSA First Vice President Randi Herman, who has made great strides in getting help from members of the City Council in a push to place ECE under the control of the DOE. Stay tuned, and when the time comes, please support our efforts to get a better deal for these hard-working members.Exasperated Early Childhood Education members held a passionate meeting today with CSA President Ernest Logan and other CSA officials.
