Outstanding Educators of the Year Awards Ceremony
On June 2, Education Update, a bimonthly publication that covers education issues, named six NYC public school Principals “Outstanding Administrators of the Year” at its annual awards ceremony at the Harvard Club in Manhattan.
Principals Deirdre De Angelis, New Dorp High School, Staten Island; Anthony Barbetta, Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical Education High School, Queens; Margaret Russo, PS 160, Queens; Naomi Drouillard, PS 254, Queens; Francisco Sánchez, the High School for Contemporary Arts, Bronx; and Laverne Nimmons, PS 335, Brooklyn, were honored for promoting academic achievement and encouraging a viable learning environment for students and educators alike.
