Ernest began his career at CSA in 1997 as Director of Field Services. Ernest is an active member in his community and a fierce advocate for public education. He belongs to numerous organizations including the St. Johns Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, the New York Alliance of Black School Educators, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the New York Academy of Public Education, 100 Black Men, and is a life member of the Association of Black Educators of New York. Ernest has also received a certificate in collective bargaining from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
As a true believer in the public education school system, Ernest has lectured and written extensively on educational and union–labor related issues and the need to reform our schools.
